A Prospector nanowell-derived bacterial consortium from cotton detritusphere enrichments that was re-tested for hexafluoropropylene oxide dimer acid (GenX) degradation. Community G underwent rapid taxonomic restructuring in sterile agricultural-soil microcosms amended with GenX: Salmonella enterica, Pseudomonas tolaasii, Stenotrophomonas sp. LM091, and Stenotrophomonas sp. MYb57 expanded by day 3, while Stenotrophomonas cyclobalanopsidis and Pseudomonas arcuscaelestis declined or disappeared. Active Community G removed 80.6% of GenX in the 3-day soil microcosm and reached 69.6% defluorination.

Ecological Interactions
The graph shows only explicitly linked interaction participants. Community members without an asserted participant link are omitted; membership alone does not imply an interaction.
Community G Relative Taxonomic Restructuring During GenX Exposure
Community G 16S profiles showed relative enrichment of Salmonella enterica, Pseudomonas tolaasii and two Stenotrophomonas strains, with relative declines of initially abundant taxa, during GenX exposure. The six named participants are an observed subset, not the complete consortium. Bulk GenX loss and fluoride release support community activity; relative profiles, genomic homology and docking do not establish absolute viable expansion or extinction, member-specific degradation, complete carbon mineralization or reciprocal competitive harm.
Participating Taxa: Salmonella enterica, Pseudomonas tolaasii, Stenotrophomonas sp. LM091, Stenotrophomonas sp. MYb57, Stenotrophomonas cyclobalanopsidis, Pseudomonas arcuscaelestis

CURATION_TODO OPEN The inspected GenX paper text names the enriched Community G specialists and initially abundant competitors, but not the complete source roster or every species label present in its Figure 4C stack plot.
Resolving an explicit sample-to-condition map for the Figshare amplicon outputs, or the upstream Prospector supplement, would allow the record to replace this explicitly partial taxonomy with the full Community G member list and species-level strain identifiers.

KNOWLEDGE_GAP OPEN Which Community G members causally contribute to GenX transformation?
Absolute viable abundance, partner perturbations, enzyme assays and carbon/fluorine mass balance would distinguish compositional change from degrader activity and competitive effects. Homology and docking predict potential, not catalytic flux. Community G was followed in sterile soil; GENIA indigenous-microbiome comparisons do not establish Community G ecological safety. The partial roster remains unresolved; the previously removed dangling outcome arrow is not restored.
