Notes
Source: KOMODO ModelSEED | ID: 670 | DSMZ Medium: 670 (mediadive.medium:670) | Aerobic: No Stock follow-up: quantities distinguish base-water inputs, stock strengths and batch doses; no measured final volume or new growth claim is inferred. Existing chemical mappings and variant links are retained, not independently validated. Note: Incubate statically without shaking. This correction covers the base formulation only; strain-specific alternatives require separate review. Four DSM 9463/9466/9467/9468 children now carry explicitly archived formulations and separate current-source alternatives. Their relationship is strain-specific, not pH-only. This does not re-curate the other two duplicate-source links.

# Ingredient Concentration Ontology Notes
1 (NH4)2SO4
2H4N.O4S 132.141 g/mol
2 G_PER_L CHEBI:62946
ammonium sulfate
Source batch input: 2 g. Retained g/L is the provider-declared nominal main-recipe rate (volume field 1000 ml), not a separately prepared base or stock concentration, or an independently measured final-volume concentration.
2 MgSO4 x 7 H2O
7H2O.Mg.O4S 246.473 g/mol
0.25 G_PER_L CHEBI:31795
magnesium sulfate heptahydrate
Source batch input: 0.25 g. Retained g/L is the provider-declared nominal main-recipe rate (volume field 1000 ml), not a separately prepared base or stock concentration, or an independently measured final-volume concentration.
3 K2HPO4
HO4P.2K 174.174 g/mol
0.1 G_PER_L CHEBI:131527
dipotassium hydrogen phosphate
Source batch input: 0.1 g. Retained g/L is the provider-declared nominal main-recipe rate (volume field 1000 ml), not a separately prepared base or stock concentration, or an independently measured final-volume concentration.
4 KCl
Cl.K 74.551 g/mol
0.1 G_PER_L CHEBI:32588
potassium chloride
Source batch input: 0.1 g. Retained g/L is the provider-declared nominal main-recipe rate (volume field 1000 ml), not a separately prepared base or stock concentration, or an independently measured final-volume concentration.
5 Distilled water 0.95 L mediadive.compound:4 (source link unavailable)
Distilled water
Distilled-water input to the base per recipe batch, not final medium volume or stock carrier volume.
6 H2SO4 Use 4 N H2SO4 to adjust the base to pH 2.2 before autoclaving; addition amount is not quantified. Normality is retained as text, not converted to an unsupported concentration unit. This is not the 0.2 N iron-stock carrier.

Preparation

  1. Dissolve ingredients except ferrous sulfate and adjust pH to 2.2 with 4 N H2SO4. Sterilize medium by autoclaving for 15 min at 121°C. Before use, add FeSO4 x 7 H2O from a 40% (w/v) stock solution prepared with 0.2 N H2SO4 and filter-sterilized under 100% N2 gas atmosphere.

Solutions

FeSO4 x 7 H2O stock

Dose: 0.05 L

Stock composition
IngredientConcentrationNotes
FeSO4 x 7 H2O 40 PERCENT_W_V Source-explicit stock strength, not a final-medium concentration. The former flattened value is replaced at the stock stage; no molecular-weight or density conversion is inferred.
H2SO4 Stock carrier is 0.2 N H2SO4; carrier amount is unspecified. Normality is retained as source text because no NORMAL unit exists in the concentration enum. This is distinct from the 4 N reagent used to adjust base pH.
50 ml stock addition per recipe batch, not per liter of an inferred final medium. Carrier amount and final-medium concentration are not inferred.

Target organisms
