JCM Medium 1370 adds 5% final sterile defibrinated horse blood aseptically after Modified GAM Agar is autoclaved and cooled. |
Preparation
- Suspend 56.7 g GAM agar, modified (Nissui), in 1.0 L distilled water.
- Autoclave at 121 C for 15 min unless otherwise stated.
- Cool sterilized Modified GAM Agar to about 45 C.
- Aseptically add sterile defibrinated horse blood to 5% final and dispense quickly into sterile tubes or petri dishes.
