septin filament array
Arrays of septin filaments, or bars, found in a series of filamentous structures. Such structures have been observed in the prospore membrane during spore formation in S. cerevisiae and in the chlamydospore membrane during chlamydospore formation in C. albicans. [GO:0032160]
Part of: GO:0005856 — cytoskeleton (no local record)

Discussions
- INTERPRETATION (RESOLVED): Keep the generic septin filament array distinct from prospore and chlamydospore septin filament array subtypes. GO:0032160 denotes the generic array of septin filaments or bars. GO:0032165 and GO:0032166 are exact child terms for prospore- and chlamydospore-localized arrays, whereas GO:0005940, GO:0032173, and GO:0032159 model ring-shaped, collar-shaped, and cap-shaped higher-order septin structures.
- CURATION_TODO (OPEN): Resolve exact source-neutral family groundings for septin-filament-array septin proteins. The first generic septin-filament-array record uses a reviewed-label-only septin protein cohort rather than guessing InterPro, Pfam, or NCBIfam accessions that may not exactly delimit all septins that can form filament arrays.
